One question at a time, in Slack

Mello asks each person one short question a few times a week. Ten seconds to answer, confidential by design, and HR sees totals only.

Rhythm

Short enough to answer every time

A long survey gets one answer a year. A ten-second question gets answered the day it matters.

  • A few times a week

    One question per send

Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 by default, or every weekday.

  • One tap

    Answered in Slack

Change it until the question closes.

  • Help

A private chat under your own name, with no survey attached.

What to ask

Questions worth asking

Start from a question set built on published research, or let Mello suggest the next question from your results. Nothing goes out until HR approves it.

  • Question set

    Clarity

Do people know what good work looks like and what comes first?

  • Question set

    Belonging

Do people feel part of the company and valued for who they are?

  • Question set

    Psychological safety

Can people raise problems, admit mistakes and ask for help?

  • Question set

    Workload

Is the work doable, and is time spent on what matters?

  • Suggested by Mello

The next question, from your results

When a result drops, Mello drafts a follow-up and says why. Approve, edit or dismiss it.

  • Templates

    Ten sets to start from

Starter, wellbeing, manager, new hire, hybrid work and change sets too.

Privacy

Who sees what

Confidential, not anonymous. HR sees totals for groups of 7 or more, never an answer or a name next to one. Skipping tells nobody anything.

  • The floor

Totals for groups of 7 or more

Below 7 answers, HR sees Too few to publish.

  • Kept apart

    Confidential

Who was asked and what was answered are stored apart. Nothing joins them.

  • No quotes

    No verbatim comments

There is no comment box. People tap an answer, so there is nothing to quote.

  • Nothing per person

No manager dashboards, no individual scores

Totals by department, team or role, only for groups of 7 or more, frozen when the question closes.

  • Agents

    Totals only

Mello reads totals, never answers, and can be switched off.

Culture on autopilot

Closing the loop

People keep answering when they see something change. Results freeze when a question closes, so a report never shifts under a decision.

  1. You said

When a question closes, HR gets the result in Slack or by email, with Mello’s read: what changed and where the widest gap is.

  2. We did

Plan an action from the result, with an owner and a due date. Mello drafts one “You said, we did” message, and you send it once.

  3. Did it help?

Two weeks after the due date, the same question goes to the same people. The action shows the result before and after.
